Attack of the Killer Tumbleweed

We had some really strong winds the other day.  This monstrosity of a tumbleweed  took up residence on the side of our road: (might not look that big here, but....)
Check this beast out!  Literally, taller than me.
I couldn't resist getting a picture with it.  Lee thought I was a little crazy, but he obliged.  I've never seen one this big.
I just know there's a good scary movie plot waiting here.... kinda like "The Blob", only not as slimy...
I hope I don't wake up tomorrow and find this thing in my front yard!

When we were in Wyoming those things always seemed to end up in our backyard and I hated cleaning them out because they were so prickly!

Reminds me of the book Texasville. While they are having a big centennial celebration the town is "attacked" by tumbleweeds. I still laugh out when I think about it. I like the picture. That thing is huge.

I love it! I definitely would have gotten a pic of that one, too.

Life is full of surprises here in the desert.

I love seeing them roll across the road...makes me feel like I'm in a John Wayne movie or something like that!

I'd hate to be hit by that thing in a wind storm!
