Abi's Zoo Bags

What is an Abi Zoo Bag, you ask?  Check this out:
This one happens to be mine and was a gift from my friend's 7 year old daughter, Abi, who upcycles unwanted t-shirts into super cool shopping bags.  Not only is this a great recycling idea, but Abi donates the proceeds from her bags to the animals at the Detroit Zoo!  A girl after my own heart...caring for the animals.

I cleaned out my closet last week and sent her a few t-shirts to turn into bags.  She even does the sewing on these herself (under the careful supervision of her mom).  I love this girl!  Let's keep her supplied with all the t's she needs to continue to do good things for the animals.  If you'd like to send her some, please contact her mom at the number on her business card below.  She can tell you where to send them.
Keep up the great work Abi!  You are a true inspiration.

Bunny Sunday

The bunnies have taken over my studio:

"Bring treats and we'll think about letting you in here to work."
"Until then, consider this a human-free zone."

Happy Bunny Sunday!

Rottweiler Wednesday

We're dog sitting this week for some of Boots' friends.  Seems like everyone loves to come to Camp Boots!  Here she is with her posse (left to right: Snuffy, Boots, Inca and Freckles in the background):
And no, that's not dog slobber on my window...
I prefer to think of it as their collective "nose art".  Great job guys!  A+.

Happy Rottie Wednesday ~

Happy Mother's Day to you all!  And a Happy Bunny Sunday, too.  :)

(Had to add this pic for comparison from 5 years ago...little bitty buns!)

Rottweiler Wednesday

"Horse poop?  What horse poop?"
"Nope, no clue what you are talking about mom..."

Ugh!  Happy Rottie Wednesday!

Bunny Sunday

Back by popular demand ~ a combo Bunny/Rottie Sunday!

The bunnies have been getting outside every morning lately in the courtyard just outside my studio.  It's a great place for them to romp around and stretch their legs and when they hear the screen door slide open they come running.

Boots takes her job as bunny patrol very seriously.

It's very important to keep an eye on them at all times...
"1, 2, 3, 4..."
"5."  OK, all accounted for!  My job here is done."

Happy Bunny/Rottie Sunday everyone!
