Piper's New Friends

Piper is making all kinds of new friends while she is away at school.  She had fun tracking these cattle around the arena the other day.  She went right to them and wasn't afraid at all.
That big white one is almost as big as Piper!  Yikes.  I keep thinking she is getting so much bigger and filling out, but really, she is still little.

Her training is going well and I'm seeing progress every time I go watch.  Very exciting!  I am missing having her at home, though, and I know the other horses are wondering where she went.  Another couple of weeks and she'll be back and all will be right on the ranch again...

Chasing cows are fun most horses realize after they get over the fear of them mooing.

How exciting that she is already chasing cows!! That is so darn cool! I really want to try that someday, maybe I will give it a try with Chance!

Oh you must be SO proud of her! My Piper is not big enough to back this year - native pony breeds mature so much slower, so I will have to wait until she is four!

well done to your brother Bridget! Determination is not easy to hide and he has plenty!

Piper looks happy with her new friends! Glad her training is coming along well.

Gilly loves cows; when we had some here he was always hanging out with them. He loved playing with the calves! When we ride he always wants to stop and visit when we see some; he misses his cow buddies.

Bridget when I clicked to enlarge I just couldn't believe it was little Piper! I mean she is growing up at that school. I know you are going to be doing a happy dance when she gets home :)

She's a good girl. Just keep being a proud Mama, and that may get you through the time without her. It's like sending the kids off to college!
