I couldn't agree more!
Phoenix and I have been together now for 8 years. He was my first horse and he definitely taught me the ropes. We have a special bond and he will let me do just about anything on him. Well, maybe I should say he "tolerates" me... but deep down I know he really loves me, too. :)

that is a lovely bond Bridget :)
awww, what a dear friend you have in Phoenix. He is a handsome boy!
That was so sweet!!!
I think he is more than just tolerating you. He looks as content as you do. What a lovely picture. I wish everyone cared for their animal family like you do!
I love horses too. Have four and one more will be home from the trainer this weekend. So now I have three that I can't seem to find time to ride and one more to be trained.
You and I have so much in common, you have no idea! I have been laying on my horses back like that all my life. When I was little, I used to love to go out to the corral and just lay on Rusty's back..feeling him move..feeling the warmth and smelling the smell. I still love it the same. I have a great horse now too..I love him and trust him..and he loves me too...it's so cool! :D
Awww, what a sweetheart!! Love those good ol' horses :)
Yes...they all LOVW their MOM's!!!
You are lucky to have him!
He's beautiful:D
I thought I was tired when I saw that pic. I wondered if Piper was ready for that. He may tolerate you but he sure does LOVE you;)
Nice blog!!
Love your blog! Can't help but feel a bit like a cowgirl myself as I read your stories! ;-) I have two horses and they are such a joy - wonderful Strider who taught me to ride and so much of what I know about horses, and Lady, the horse I taught to accept a rider. They're both terrific friends in their own special way. I hope we're like you and Phoenix many years down the road!
It's only been a short while but I've enjoyed your blog so much and now I hope to spread that enjoyment to others - I've chosen your blog for the Dream Blog award and featured you on my blog!
Thanks again and congratulations on your award!
