Cranberry Pecan Chocolate Bark

I'm getting a head start on my holiday baking. I LOVE to bake yummy things for the holidays and even though I do have my tried and true favorites, I'm always on the look out for new things.

I found this very easy recipe for Cranberry Pecan Chocolate Bark on the King Arthur Flour website. It's almost not right to call it baking, it is that easy.
The recipe calls for dried cranberries (otherwise known as craisins). I used the cherry flavored craisins, which ended up being a good choice. The end result tastes much like a chocolate covered cherry. Mmmmmm....I'm thinking the orange flavored craisins would be a good choice, also. And of course, you could use walnuts or any nut of your choice in place of the pecans.

I usually make peppermint bark to package up and give as gifts. This will make a nice change this year. If you're looking for something easy, yummy and festive looking, give this a try, you won't be disappointed!

That sounds yummy! I don't bake too much. I like to cook big meals, but my friends will bring the deserts! I'm thinking this year I may try some cookies!

Dudette, that looks incredible. I make bark, but never tried one like that. I'll have to look it up on their website.
Let the baking, cooking and EATING begin!
