12 ??????

It is 12 degrees out this morning.  What the hell?  This is Arizona people!  At least we don't have snow, but this is ridiculous.  Apparently we beat a record established back in 1907.  Good for us.  NOT.  Kinda worried about my old horse, Phoenix, (he'll be 34 in March), but Lee just came in from checking on everyone and said he is fine in his blanky.  All the horses got their blanket last night and we filled Gerty and Valentines house up with hay so they could burrow down in it together.

I know half of the country is buried in snow and ice, so it sure could be worse here.  I'm going to go sit by my blazing fire in the wood stove and drink my coffee now.  Stay warm my friends!

I can't believe it is 3 degrees WARMER here in Pittsburgh than in Arizona! Stay warm, hot cocoa and dinner in the crockpot always work for me.

I hope your sweet horses will be able to brave this weather, since they aren't used to it.

I'm here in Plano, Texas and we've been covered in ice since Monday. Right now its 16F!

Keep the hot cocoa coming!

This weather stinks. It was sleeting as I left home in South MS to head to Jackson to go to work.....

Yowsa! Too cold for me. I think the adage Frozen North has just been washed away (literally) and replaced with Frozen South. Stay close to that fireplace.

Yeesh. It made it all the way to Arizona? What is the world coming to?

Are Gerty and Valentine bonded horses? I didn't know horses realyl bonded. Never really thought about it. I guess it makes sense.

you took the words right out of my mouth....It's been pretty frigid here the past couple of days..ridiculous. But yes we are lucky we are not buried in snow and ice....all of my family sent pictures of the snow drifts up their front doors...postmen won't deliver if you haven't shoveled a path...."sorry, I guess I didn't get the electric bill, it never came in the mail";)
Keep warm up in them thar hills...

We were above freezing this morning - woo hoo, a heat wave!

Glad to hear the horses seem to be doing find. A blanket and extra food usually works wonders: stoke the furnace from within and keep the heat in with a blanket!

Hope things warm up soon!
