Bunny Sunday

Good news -- I got the Christmas tree put up last night.  Bad news, it's not decorated yet... I'll be working on that today.

The bunnies have been checking it out.

And messing up the tree skirt...
Rosie had to join in and see what all the fuss is about.
I may need to consider fencing off the tree.  Chain link?  Chicken wire?  Oh yeah, that will look REALLY nice.  I'll just need to be on bunny and kitty patrol until after the holidays...

Enjoy your Bunny Sunday everyone!

The cat will have a ball batting those blinking lights.

You are way ahead of me in the Christmas spirit department.

Rabbits are woodland creatures and enjoy trees. Cats like trees to climb and for the bird watching opportunities. They are behaving naturally. If you want an unmolested yet decorated tree, you will probably need to hang it from the ceiling or on a wall, and even then the cats will enjoy the challenge. Happy Holidays and good luck with the patrol--can you stay up 24/7 until Xmas?

They are darling! I love Rosie coming to see what the fuss is all about.
LOL about fencing off the tree. We've struggled with that in the past with curious kitties and very happy dogs with long waggedty tails that cleared lots of ornaments in one swoop. I also had a dog eat my salt-dough ornaments - bleech.

I've heard of folks putting trees in baby playpens! Somehow that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of Christmas!

They are all thinking it's a cool place to hang out.

When you said you had bunnies running around under the tree this morning I thought to myself, "hmmm sounds like bunny Sunday to me;"

My animals have never paid the slightest bit of attention to my trees. I love that Rosie is part bunny.

What cute bunnies!! My favorite Periwinkle was a Mini-Rex. I'd love to get another. Your Rosie looks like our Pascal (aka Pants). Our buns like to get up under the tree and not come out. The two young cats have demolished our ornaments, so for the past two years, we've only had lights, lots of lights, on the tree.

Last year it was so cute because Jinny and Jaks would sleep under the tree whenever we turned the twinkle lights on....this year so far no one seems to care to much.

After what Harrington just did to my sewing chair, there is no way he is getting close to the tree! Naughty bunny!
Your fuzzy kids look precious as they inspect the tree. I'm sure they offer many decorating pointers.

It's a bunny party under the tree! very Cute. It's strange how my cats and rabbits don't try to lay under mine. Maybe that's a good thing and now I will jinx myself.

It's the sworn duty of every bun and kitty to mess with the christmas tree. That's why we got a 3-footer and put it on the kitchen table. And unplug it whenever we're not sitting right next to it.

X-pen?
