When we are cleaning the stalls, she will stalk us and pester us (and usually dump over the wheelbarrow) until we finally stop what we are doing and give her a good scratchin'. She would stand there all day and let us scratch her if we didn't stop to go back to cleaning.
"A little more to the left mom." Geez, get it right.
Hope you all are having a great week. I'm heading out this weekend on a big adventure (I'll post more on that tomorrow). I'm excited!

Cute. I luv it when they stretch out and do their muzzle.
Hehehehe. that's so cute!
Too funny. Once I was in the shed with one of those metal retractable rakes. I was going to knock a barn swallow nest down because they kept killing the light above it. Of course the horses came over to see what I was doing and I reached out and scratched one with it. Well that started the whole ball rolling and it turned into an assembly line. Who wasn't being scratched by the rake was grooming someone else. All the spring hair was flying it was hilarious.
I never would have thought of a rake...LOL. I thought my horse was the itchyest horse on the planet. We have now gotten to the point where she will point to the itch w/her nose and I scratch it with a wire type hair brush. When I have got it just right, her head goes sideways, and her lips go into an AHHHH expression.
I haven't met a horse yet who doesn't want a good back/butt scratch!
One of my friends had a horse who would almost knock you over in the stall backing up for a good scratch!
I enjoyed these pictures. Sassy has a beautiful face, btw!
