Well...let's just say I give Santa a little help. Not only do I like to bake all kinds of people goodies during the holidays, but I always bake up a batch of my famous Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits for the pups.
I have dog bone cookie cutters in lots of different sizes and sometimes I use holiday cookie cutters (bells, stars, trees). You can also just drop these by rounded balls onto the cookie sheet and press down with a fork, much like peanut butter cookies.
The recipe is easy and the dogs LOVE these biscuits. Here's the recipe:
Angel and Snuffy's Peanut Butter Biscuits
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 T. baking powder
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup skim milk
1 T. flax seed meal (optional, but it's good for their coats)
Mix the peanut butter, milk and baking powder together. Add flax seed and flour and mix thoroughly. Roll out and cut out with cookie cutters or roll in 1 inch balls, place on cookie sheet and crisscross with fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. When I am done baking all of the biscuits, I turn off the oven and put all of the biscuits back in the oven, close the door and let them dry out for several hours.
No dog has ever turned up their nose to these!

Hmmm, those look pretty good. I might try one myself. LOL
Have you ever tasted the dog cookies? My brother bakes cookies for his dogs and the first time he made them he said he ate one to see how it tasted. Love the hats on the bunnies.
Spoiled, just like all of mine!
I was just making my shopping list for baking. Adding this to the list! Ahhh hello to my buddies, I miss them.
Oh, I'm thinking my kiddos are gonna love those. Santa visits here too. All the dogs have a stocking.
I am definitely making these for Doom this year. He's loves peanut butter.
Oh my goodness! Those treats sound good, well not to me, but I know my pups would love them! They love peanut butter! I am definitely going to have to whip some up! Thanks for sharing!
