Cowgirl Wisdom

I don't feel my age and I usually don't act it, either. I think that is part of the secret! (How is a 40-something cowgirl supposed to act anyway?)

The other day I had the 2 old guy horses out roaming around while I was outside doing chores. Phoenix came up to the fence panels and I didn't even think about it, just climbed up and jumped on his back. He took me for a little ride -- no reins, no saddle -- just a handful of mane. And I lived to tell about it...ha ha.

And when I'm 60, I hope I'll be doing the same!

I bet you will be doing the same things when you're 60! I don't feel or act my age either. I think I'm eternally 32. I don't worry about the "big" birthdays (the decade ones) 'cuz I can't stop 'em from coming so why worry? I like to tell people I'm like a fine wine...just getting better with age!!! Have a great week!

Bridget I love the Cowgirl Wisdom for today. What a great bit of wisdom!! I am 58 and I feel like a girl. When I was in college I was afraid I would get too old for jeans and have to wear old lady pants. It was a big worry then, now jeans are preferred wear and I pretty much wear and do what makes my heart happy. Don't worry you will be living this wonderful bit of Cowgirl Wisdom all your life :) BTW I am loving and wearing my cowgirl bracelet every day and my Mom-in-law loved the earrings, and I mean really loved them. She got a little teary and loved hearing about you and the things you design and make.

Acting your age is overated and a big waste of time. I love the kid part of me. I got a big smile at the thought of you jumping on Phoenix like that.

Got another bunny in a santa hat up at my place and thank you again Bridget for your generous giving to Heartland. We are having a veggie Christmas party for the bunnies this weekend.

Age is just a number.
Stay active and it won't matter.

Keep that attitude and you will be. My Mom is 76 and could easily pass for 65. Her energy wears me out. Seriously. She still works full time, not because she has to, because she wants to. She's setting a very bad example for me....

You will be doing all the same things just with some added gravity wear and tear that's all. You'll still look awesome and still have Zoolander;)

What the heck is the point of making it to 60 if you have to deal with all kinds of people telling you what you should do?

Peer pressure is for 18 year olds. :)

Ride on.
