One of Life's Simple Pleasures

Taking a walk on an early fall morning...
Just the 6 of us...
(Left to right - Lee, Valentine, me, Angel, Gerty and Cuji leading the way). This picture cracks me up - I love how you can see Valentine's goatee and Angel's tongue hanging out.

When we take off for our walk in the morning, if we don't take the goats with us, Gerty cries and cries. "DON'T LEAVE ME!!!" So, she comes running, ears flopping and bell jangling.
Valentine, the Alpine, likes to do a little off-roading on our walks.
And Lee gets to practice his roping.
Always a great way to start the day!

That is so cute. I love that you take your goats for a walk along with the other animals. It's nice to have that space to do so without having to worry about traffic.

You have me laughing so hard right now! We used to take our goats for walks, just on our property, and we used to joke about taking them for walks down the road! I love how you do take yours for walks! Now I know I am not the only one who walks goats! Too cute!

Oh my goodness! What a cute bunch! I'd love to take walks in that scenery with the company that you have. I am a pet lover myself although I've never had a goat but they look like fun!

AND we take the goats with us when we take our horses out for a short ride. They go right down the road with us, in between the horses... I know our neighbors think we are crazy!

I can't tell you how much I loved this post!!!
I'm right there with you sister...we have things in common for sure. I had a goat named Augie, he would cry to go with me anywhere, I walked him over the the elem. school one morning for show and tell!
I go out every morning for a 3 mile walk with my golden retreiver, Cougar and my Shitzu, Bo.
It's my favorite part of the day In the spring, i put a post on about one of our walks.
Wish we could walk together with all our loved ones..that would be quite the sight! :D

I've had to change my walking schedule to mid-day since hunting season has started. I miss the mornings! I laugh a lot too with 3 dogs of my own and sometimes the neighbor's dog joins us. If only we had a goat!

I can't wait to get out of the house without the kids - human kids!

That is the cutest! I love that your goats go for a walk too. The shadow picture is fascinating to look at. You can get so many things from it if you use your imagination.

I've never been able to answer those 'life swap' trivia questions....until now. Bar the heat you must get, you're living my idea of bliss :).

Hi there. I just had to come over and visit you right away sensing a kindred spirit in you. Thank you so so much for your comment about Hazel, that means so much for a complete stranger to reach out like that and express sorrow on my behalf when most friends and family near me haven't expressed a single thing! Thank you. I miss her still, I am trying to be tough and of course life goes on but still somedays my heart squeezes so hard with missing her so badly. You'd think it gets easier after you go through it so often but it doesn't does it. We've had 6 bunnies leave us now, 5 of whom died in my arms. You have 7 rabbits, wow thats fantastic and from you photos it looks like they get along great:D We've never managed to bond that many, I'll have to email you sometimes and see how you do it. We have 4 now...our little lovelies:D Well I added your blog to my blog list because I'll definatly be back often your world looks enchanting...a walk with goats, well you can't get much better than that, ha ha. Thanks again for reaching out and hopefully we'll 'chat' again someday soon. Be Well and hugs to your furries as well. Mandy.
