And it's not just due to the 100+ degree heat. We have a wildfire burning on the other side of this mountain (that you can barely see through the smoke). It's quite a ways away, but the smoke is traveling this way. I don't think they have it even close to being contained, but I read that it is not threatening any homes, so that is good.
As I was taking this pic, I noticed something on the top of this agave stalk:
Hello Beauregard!
Don't worry little buddy, we're safe here.
Keeping our fingers crossed for some rain to help fight these fires...

Sorry for the heat and wild fire! I haven't visited in awhile and I am in love with your blog header... perfect!
Hot is right!
This really is the craziest weather in many years I do believe. I'm just about ready to light the wood stove...on the 6th of June!!
We've watered our alfalfa a total of 5 days since we started on May 11, it's not been over 75 degrees, and we haven't had more than 2 nice days in a row. It's been pouring rain off and on all day and it's 54 degrees...a far cry from yesterday's 72 degrees.
I pray that you take some of this rain and cool weather from us to help fight the fires~
Yes it is hot. it has been very hazy here as well for almost the last three weeks. We need a good rain to clear things up. So cool that your beloved Beauregard is still hanging around. I just love his colors.
I hope you all stay safe Bridget and tell little Beau to stick around and not go to far to explore.
I can't believe you caught Beauregard in the photo!
Hope the fires end soon. Stay safe!
