Wednesday Cowgirl Wisdom

I like this advice, I might just have to get my old guy out today and take a little ride.  I have been in a bit of funk for the last few weeks since we lost Bandit.  Things are just "a little" out of whack around our place.  I'm not spending every day crying or anything like that (not that I don't miss him), but I am feeling kind of deflated lately.

Even with the addition of our adorable little Cactus Rose -- who is confused and thinks she is a bunny.
Yes, that is her in the bunnies' litter box.  She likes to take her afternoon naps there.  And bother the bunnies when they are actually using it for it's intended purpose.
Really, all I need to do is look around if I'm feeling a little blue.  These animals of ours provide plenty of entertainment and smiles.

I hear ya...I feel the same way about animals and being out doors..(come see)..Your cat is so sweet and so smart. She has claimed the litter box as her soft bed and then when they get in it, it's like hey, they're in my bed! So cute!
Maybe you need another animal to "take care of"..might get your mind away from Bandit a bit...I know it takes awhile to move on...but he is up there kicking up his heels and feeling great now..think on that. Take care :D

Good advise! I hope you get to get out for a ride today. I'd like to do the same.

The kitten is too funny in the litter box! Mine turn 1 this week and are still so very playful...they like to sleep in the outdoor fireplace.

Oh my. She IS adorable. Seeing that little face poking out from the mounds of hay...

Celine will not drink her own water. She must drink Bunny's. It comes from the same source, but for some reason, his is better.

I would be lost without my animals. They're immediate sources of healing. Praise God.

Blessings,
Carolynn

I completely agree with the sentiment on the card.
(psst, there's something for you on my blog!)

Oh INDEED! Thank you for sharing the laughter Bridget! How cute is that!! I can feel your bunnies' irritation from miles away. The innocent look on Cactus Rose's face makes it even funnier.

I hope your kids pour on the shenanigans to help drive away the sad feelings. It surely takes a long time to knit up the giant holes left in our hearts when our babies leave for the beautiful fields of heaven.

One funny note I can share that might cause your face to smile. Not too long ago I wrote a friend who has two Dutch bunnies with attitude (is there any other kind). There are some fierce pooh wars going on at her house. One of the words didn't look right in my message back to her so I clicked on the spell check. As the spell check did its thing it alerted me to my use of the word potty boxes. As the spell check always does it offered alternates to something that it perceives as a mistaken use of words and suggested I use 'power bases' instead. Well, I laughed and laughed and shared that with my friend who agreed with me - it IS the more accurate use of words. Power bases indeed!

The picture of Cactus Rose in the litter box made me laugh out loud!!!

Bridget I must tell you that I have received compliments on my earrings just about every day since I received my order from your Artfire store. I absolutely love them and don't wear any of my other earrings anymore. THANK YOU!!!

I miss horse riding. Nobody understands you like your horse, it's true! My back problems mean I wouldn't be able to ride like I used to and carriage driving is great but I really need to feel that horse underneath me, you know? :).

Lots of people seem to be in a funk at this time of year - I know that little period of fluxus between seasons a can throw me completely off balance, but coming here and looking at your fur babies always cheers me up.

Critters to have a way of chasing away the blahs. Cactus Rose is cracking me up taking her nap in the bunny bucket. :)
Sending a hug for happiness.

This is too cute and silly. Reminds me again of my Oscar kitty. The first picture I can hear Patches saying to Nutmeg "look at that damn cat in OUR box" and then the second pic looks like Nutty saying "bring it on kitty". Cactus Rose has quite the little innocent kid look in the second one.
I feel for you missing your Bandit. They leave such big holes in our hearts.

That picture of Cactus Rose in the bunnie's litter box is too funny and I love the picture of her looking up at you snapping a picture! I love your Cowgirl Wisdom. Whenever I feel sad, lonely, funky or cranky I head outside and instantly I feel better. Thinking about you Bridget :)

Oh, Cactus Rose is just too cute taking over the litter box. And I like Murphs Mom's description of the litter boxes as power bases!

The furry creatures can really break your heart, but they also fill it right back up again, don't they?
Hoping for a day of laughter and sunshine for you.

Yep, I understand....when Ms.Hen got killed, I was very upset and now we found 3 hens for Mr. Tom. We also have a new kitty and she got out yesterday, she is still here, but we can't catch her.

The little Kitten is darling and isn't it strange how they will get confused about what they are.
