Bunny Sunday

The bunny-kitty introductions are well underway.  So far, Nutmeg has only boxed the kitty once or twice.  Poor kitty, she just wanted to play.

Nutmeg is very protective of Patches and doesn't want her to have anything to do with the kitty.  I think little Cactus Rose is fine with that, since Patches outweighs her by about 7 lbs. and probably looks like a monster to her!

We have had a few peaceful moments of mutual kitty/bunny purring.
Animals never cease to amaze me with their ability to adapt to each other.  Happy Bunny-Kitty Sunday everyone!

Aww :). I knew a lady who had a cat and rabbit who were inseparable after initial introductions - the cat regularly snuggled up with the rabbit at night :).

How are your dogs adjusting to her?

Awww. Glad to hear introductions seem to be going relatively well. Cactus Rose seems to be very sweet and respectful of everyone else's space, so it's really just a matter of time before the buns feel comfortable that they still run the show and warm up to her!

This is so much fun to read. My bunnies never ever liked Oscar Kitty. He wanted to hang out with them soooo bad but all he ever got was slaps and grunts and a bite on the tail once when Dudley buns had had enough. It looks like Nutmeg is being nice to Cactus Rose and long as she doesnt mess with Patches.

Love it! I can't believe this is your first kitty.

So sweet. Animal dynamics are incredibly interesting to watch, provided no one's in danger of getting hurt. For the most part, my animals have largely ignored each other.

Oh oh oh oh that is so sweet..glad they are getting on a bit! Always an adjustment.
We lost one of sweet buns this weekend. He was a very old bunny and I knew he would not last forever..am sad and missing him.
Hugs to you hon, Sarah

What an enormous smile this brought to my face! Cactus Rose could be an indentical twin of one of my cats, Coco! How lovely these furry creatures are and how wonderful they make our lives. I hope that the bunnies and Cactus Rose settle into a happy coexistence.

Bridget I love this Bunny Sunday! Seeing Cactus Rose is an unexpected treat :) I don't think I ever realized how big your sweet bunnies are. Or maybe Rose is a little girl. I am glad they are adjusting and it is good that Cactus Rose learns to respect the bunnies. I look at the top of Cactus Rose's head and her face in the third picture and she looks just like Country Cat :)

Now I want bunnies! I don't know how Lionel the fuzzy cat or Jill the Basset hound would act though.
Those are just the cutest rabbits ever! and kitty too!

Have a great day.
