I read an article about effective tagging recently. It made me stop and think about how I am tagging my items in my Etsy shop and am I doing so in the most effective manner. I THINK I am tagging so that potential customers can find my items, but am I really? If you were searching for this necklace, what would you put in the search box? Leave me a comment and give me a few words or phrases you would use. I'll see if I am "thinking like a customer" or not! Thanks everyone!

eeww tough subject!! I hate to do the tag part on Etsy..good luck! I love the cowgirl project!!
silver, turquoise, nostalgic, cowgirl, southwest, western, country, horse, necklace, pendant, black and white photo, gemstones just to name a few!
I agree tagging can be tricky.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I love your earrings on Etsy and all your work...
I would hope to find it under my usual searches, horse, cowgirl, western, vintage
Vintage cowgirl, cowgirl and horse, cowgirl photo. That is what I would type in to search for what I look for. Great necklace, by the way, but you knew I would love it !
What a great idea! If I were looking for a necklace like that the first thing that comes to mind is "cowgirl", then "beaded", then "turquoise" and maybe "southwest" or "southwestern". Hope this helps!
Gorgeous necklace! I would probably search for vintage cowgirl or vintage horse. Very nice:)
necklace, woman and horse, antique
The craggy cliffs and sea are wonderful, but I would love to see the desert!
Speaking of tagging, I have tagged you in a different way! Don't feel pressured, but if you want to play, check out my blog for the lowdown!
Lots of great suggestions already, but here's my 2 cents of what came to mind first: vintage, cowgirl, western, southwest, turquoise, beaded.
Great piece B!
