Angel, the "original" rottweiler. :)
Tomorrow will be 2 years since she left us. Hard to believe it has been that long already...
She was a great bunny guardian and tolerated Nutmeg's bossy behavior. Nutmeg would come up behind her and nip her in the butt and make her move! And Angel would go find another place to lie down and relax. They had an understanding.
I like to think they are all hanging around together like this on the other side of the bridge...
She's buried out by her horses. Every morning she would go outside first thing and walk down the fence line and make sure all of the horses were accounted for. It was a job she took very seriously. (I didn't notice until after I took this picture that Boots was in the background...it really looks like it could be Angel).
Yep, this is her butt! A heart with wings. How appropriate.
A very happy, young and healthy girl...this is how I will always remember her.
Happy Rottie Wednesday.

It is sad when we lose a fluffy friend, but those wonderful memories bring smiles.
The magic of photos. You can freeze a moment in time, to enjoy later...and remember.... :))
They never leave our minds or hearts... and its nice to get to a place where you can smile when you think of them instead of it breaking your heart.... {although, I admit I'm not sure I ever make it to that point.}
I love the happy stories about your furry babies. I've lost some of mine and I focus on the funny and happy stories. They bring so much joy to our lives!
