Our New Neighbor

I looked out the front window the other evening to see our new neighbor coming down the driveway with her horse.  I snatched up my camera and went outside to greet them.

Look at this little guy!

His name is Rebel.  Could he be any cuter?  I wasn't sure at first if he was a pony or a mini-horse, turns out he is a mini.
I was immediately smitten.  He was perfectly sweet and friendly.  I had visions of him pulling a cart.... full of bunnies.  Can't you see it now?

And look at this mane!

And these itty bitty hooves!

Yep, I want one.

The other horses were not so sure what to think of him, though.  Piper and Sassy snorted and ran off to the other side of their pen.  Silly girls.
Phoenix, being the old patriarch that he is, positioned himself in between to let him know that those are HIS mares.

Know your place little guy...

LOL...Rebel might not have known what to think of your guys and gals with their flymasks on!

Cute...would luv a mini, but have too many mouths to feed right now.

HAH! That is the sweetest little thing. and pulling a car full of bunnies? You crack me up. Try it!

Your (full-sized) horses probably don't know what he is! Maybe a big bunny or a strange dog? They don't trust it, whatever it is.

Minis are way too fun. We had a great one at our old stables, much friendlier than ponies I've encountered.

The Bunny Express! I can just see it!

He is a doll. What great neighbours you have. Even Rebel's companion is a mini. *smile*

Those mini's are so funny...I took care of one for a friend, we developed a great friendship. This one was a stud and let me tell you he thought he was all that!

Rebel is so sweet looking! I was laughing about the posturing of Phoenix!!! how fun was that to see the natural reactions to seeing a mini version of their own image -ha!

So cute. I got the opportunity to show some mini's the other weekend. A ton of fun.

Putting a bunny cart behind Rebel could be dangerous. We could all pass out from some serious cute overload. He has such cute and long mane.

Rebel is adorable and oh imagine the cuteness of him pulling a cart load of bunnies!

Oh, he's adorable for sure!!! I'd love to have one too!

A gal lead one into the arena at the last cutting show and Colt was totally freaked out. He started backing up, got his muscles all bunched up and it felt like he was going to launch! How silly horses can be of something as cute as a mini horse...one of their own?!?!?

What nice neighbors. If you ask Jeannie, I know she will give you our little Midnight. He drives the honky donkey girls crazy.

Oh my, Rebel seems to be even smaller than Heartland's resident mini horse, Midnight! What a cutie pie!!!! I'm sure Rebel's attitude far exceeds his physical height ... at least that is the case with Midnight. ;-)

Minis amaze me...they are so incredibly tiny.

I can just see the cart full of bunnies now. Wouldn't that make a great Christmas card!!!!!

I had no idea there was such a breed. So cute. The great thing about having a neighbor with one is that you can go and visit... or maybe pet-sit!

That's awesome! Good new neighbors!! Isn't it funny how some horses are about minis? They scare more big horses I swear than anything else, lol. Very very cute!

Hi...thanks for your visit. This sure is cute, I really love these mini horses. I saw a farm once that had all mini horses and donkeys, cutest thing ever! ;D

He is very cute. I vote for a photo of him with cart of bunnies. How cute would that be??!

My big mare it terrified of the mini horse that we meet at the trailhead periodically.

And Rosetta (the mini) knows exactly how to flaunt her scariness, too. She shakes her mane and then walks closer and closer to my trailer, and then HORRIBLY, VICIOUSLY, TERRIBLY starts eating grass while my horses melt down.

Hahahahaha!
