Took me until I was 40 to achieve that dream. I'm so glad I hung in there. It was and is worth the struggle.

Thanks for sharing this.Rising Rainbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04239592070775412669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968635299818268431.post-28909760485623357682010-04-02T02:54:15.498-07:002010-04-02T02:54:15.498-07:00Very nice Bridget and all so true :)Very nice Bridget and all so true :)Rural Ramblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06732196758829385989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968635299818268431.post-68315491701265967352010-04-01T17:13:42.623-07:002010-04-01T17:13:42.623-07:00I dreamed of having a horse like all little girls....I dreamed of having a horse like all little girls. I was never able to but perhaps one day. I would need to learn A LOT to take care of a horse but I would be willing. My good friend has horses and she tells me wonderful stories about them. She has a great old man named Dooley that she rescued from a bad end. It has taken her a year to get him to trust her a bit and not lay his ears back and try to bite her when she comes close. Her love and devotion to them is wonderful to see.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10162908970037557053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968635299818268431.post-69977856970614730332010-04-01T14:40:51.516-07:002010-04-01T14:40:51.516-07:00I loved that post when I read it back then and jus...I loved that post when I read it back then and just as much now. When I was in 5th or 6th grade, my best friend's mother worked out an arrangement with someone in a neighboring town who had a four horse barn in the backyard. We came by once or twice a week to groom the horses and muck their stalls, and in exchange we were allowed to let ourselves in to ride the horses whenever we wanted. Some of my fondest memories of coming of age are from that barn. They were very close to a park, and we would ride the horses down the street to get there, getting the strangest looks from passersby in the crowded suburban neighborhood. The park had a shallow river that the horses would gladly walk through for hours in the summer. some of the most beautiful experiences of my life.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15468713627933431744noreply@blogger.com
